Today is the day when all chinese will eat reuion dinner wilh their loved ones. Therefore many people will rush home, squeeze into the trains but you can still able see smiles on their face. Steamboat is commonly used in the reunion dinner as it is the easiest way to prepare. Many people will gather round the table and exchange their current situations while digging in the delicious food such as chicken, fish, pork, fish ball. Then at night, you can see some people sending off their "old" fortune god and receiving their "new" fortune god for the coming year. They believed fortune god will give them blessing and money in the coming year. Here I wish all people "Have a propsperous New Year!!!"

Many people have the wrong ideas on slimming norms.....I here to help you to clear the doubts! :smartass:When you eat affect your weight? Are u sure? Absolutely. Eating late supper before sleep is the worst enemy of successful weight control. The body does not have enough time to metabolize and break down the engery produced by the food. Such energy turns into fat for storage. Thus, you should refrain from eating any food 2 hrs before sleep. Can I lose weight by not eating any rice? Actually, meat and other dishes contain a lot fat. Whereas, a bowl of rice contain just 240 calories. Therefore, eating dishes and not rice not necessarily help lose weight. Does skipping breakfast help weight loss? Absolutely not. Breakfast provides the first input of energy for consumption during the day. So it is important you should eat more in terms in quanitiy and variety. As for lunch you should eat 80% or less and 60% for dinner. Or better still, just salad for your dinner. Remember to eat and chew slowly so to allow your brain to generate the feeling of fullness. Eat bread rather rice will help in weight loss? Bread not only contain starch but also other ingredients which are high in calories. Excessive starch intake would be converted into glycogen and fat. Watch out for those buns with 250 calories or more, like pineapple buns, cocktail or sausage buns mmm..enlightened? :innocent: Well...i will be introduce more recipes on low-fat recipes like low-fat dessert...So watch out for them! hurray !!! no more fat, fat, fat!!:look:

Acid-alkaline diet focus on how to balance your body in having two of the substances in your body. In fact, the diet aims at making sure the body have a balanced quantities of alkaline subatnces and acids. An imbalance of them can result in health problems, ranging from skin irritations, chronic fatigue, back pain and even depression to arthrities, ulcers and osteoporosis. Many of us actually consume large quantities of processed food that acidify the body and therefore, health problems occurred. :'( Personally I am trying out the diet and currently noticed I get more joint pains and cramps if my body is acidic. I tend to feel better if my body is at "neutral level" (ph 7 or 7.5) How to detect the acidic level of the body You can use litmus paper to test your urine to test the acidic level of your body. Measurement must be taken at different times of the day and a log book record your measurement must be taken. pH can vary at different times of the day because of the activity, meals physical effort, stress and so forth. To be truly respresentative , the measurements must be taken several times a day for four to five days in succession. How to interpret results * pH below 7 - body is acidic pH 6 or 6.5 - only slight degree of acidification ph 4.5 or 5 - extremely acidic (must remove acid from body) {discuss in sebsequent blog}:slap: Actions: must deacidify body ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- *ph 7 or 7.5 - good health  Actions: must maintain current hygiene --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- *pH above 7.5 - body alkaline Actions: must maintain current hygiene but reduce alkaline minerals and increase protein intake. What food is acidic or alkaline???? GOOD QN! Tune in to next health advice especially for you......:wavecry: HEALTH HEALTH HEALTH HEALTH HEALTH HEALTH HEALTH HEALTH HEALTH
